Airport Transportation Service

The International Students and Scholars Office will provide transportation services from Des Moines International Airport to Ames from 8/1 to 8/19. The cost for airport transportation service is $20.00 per student; and you will be met by ISSO student staff at the baggage claim area at the airport. The student driver will then take you to your housing location in Ames. Your U-bill will be charged $20.00 for this airport transportation service. If your family members come along with you, you will still be charged $20.00 only. Please indicate here if you would like to have this service.

Temporary Housing Reservation

If you have already contracted for and been assigned on-campus housing, please review the check-in information below:

Schilletter and University Village (SUV)	Starting 8/16, Saturday	Check-in at the SUV Community Center, 8:00 am-5:00 pm Monday-Friday. To check-in after hours, call 515-290-2460. To check in prior to 8/16, please call 515-294-5360 to see if your apartment is available. Students are charged the regular daily apartment rate for early arrival to SUV prior to 8/16.
Frederikson Court	Starting 8/16, Saturday	Check-in at the Frederiksen Court Community Center, 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday To check-in after hours, call 515-290-1652. To check in prior to 8/16, please e-mail jrgard@iastate.edu to see if your apartment is available. The early check-in charge is $25.00 per night for student who is granted approval to move in prior to 8/16.
Residence Hall	Starting 8/16, Saturday	You may check-in at the Hall Desk for your community, 8:00 am – 9:00 pm. To check-in after hours, contact the on-call staff member at the phone number posted at the entrance to the building. The early check-in charge is $25.00 per night for students who move in between 8/16 – 8/19. Check-in before 8/16 is not available.

If you arrive prior to 8/16 or you have not contracted for on-campus housing, the temporary housing, provided by the International Students and Scholars Office and supported by the Department of Residence, will be available from Friday 8/15 to Friday 8/22.

The cost is $25.00 per night.

Student staff from ISSO may drive a van and help you move out from the temporary housing to your residence halls or campus apartments between 8/16-8/22. It is free of charge. Please indicate the day you would like.
